I’m not at a big firm so we don’t have PLI. Ok I think the NY bar website has a bunch and membership seems cheap. Thank you everyone!

like

Google free CLEs. There’s a lot out there if you search, at least for CA—haven’t looked for NY.

Does your state bar offer any? That membership is usually cheap

Try the following:
1. https://www.attorneycredits.com
2. Lexvid.com
3. Lawline.com
4. Trtcle.com

ABA membership has access to a lot on-demand CLE that's included in your membership fee! I use this for a jurisdiction my firm doesn't provide firm-sponsored training CLE for. Only costs me $150-$200 per year and after you enter your Bar info, the ABA reports yours credits to those states for you.

Worth pointing out that I had a lot of issues getting my PLI credits to report properly and never got credit for several of them so I said screw it and just do ABA courses as needed.

I just finished a big jury trial with a senior partner (SP). There were co-parties w/separate counsel. SP mentally checked out, to the point that co-counsel was asking what SP was doing/if SP was okay. I ended up handling most everything. SP did a few parts but went rogue and did things that were offensive/risky/bad for client. It became clear that SP is not performing like SP used to and may be a liability. Do I tell someone at my firm? Don’t want to offend SP or cause drama, but I’m concerned.

If you do billable work on a given PTO/vacation day, do you still count that day as vacation? Or do you get that vacation day "back"? Or do you only get the part that you billed "back"? (Or some other option.)

Working on some law firm applications tonight and it sucks that I know that I am so capable and have a strong work ethic but firms can’t see beyond grades or the fact that I didn’t go to a t14 law school or prestigious undergrad. I’ve worked twice as hard and feel like I’ve barely even gotten half as much. It’s discouraging sometimes especially because I worked so hard with pretty much no guidance (first gen, poc, low-income) to get into college and do well and then get into a t30 law school
