I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

If anyone else is studying, let me know and maybe we can share study materials!

For those who have taken it, are there any cheaper or alternative study materials to any official guides you would recommend? I went this route with the PHR and SHRM-SCP and passed each on the both try, so I wanted to see if that method may be viable here. Any recommended order to take courses in?

Why are town Hall meetings so impersonal? They are all about awards / the number of people hired. I know FCB health is large, but we never hear from people who aren’t Executives. Last town hall, when discussing inclusion efforts, there were no people of color represented and one of the 4 pillars of diversity was centered around our “reputation as an organization” (that really rubbed me the wrong way). At my last agency those conversations were always led by people of color from every level.

I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Lots of right wing hysteria about liberals trying to engineer equality of outcome to correct sexual/racial inequities (in higher ed, for example). I think we all want socioeconomic, gender and racial barriers to opportunities to be addressed, but no significant number of people really believe in equality of outcome right? I’m an in-house designer. My company decided to offer social media marketing packages to our clients. Today they asked me to take full ownership of that outside social media marketing on top of my current job duties.

I expressed a need for a promotion or raise to compensate for the major increase in responsibility, a responsibility that is not currently in my description.

They pushed back.

The particular job I’m looking at has this on the listing and I’m curious as to what their budget actually is. Do I assume a range?

They’re seeking someone with 5-8 years experience. I have the latter (8 almost 9)

How would I approach this when asked without pricing myself out of the position? Especially if they’re not willing to be upfront (assuming here) how much they’d want to offer me in particular.
