Need some advice here. I'm an audit sm with almost 10yoe in big4 and applied to another big4 for internal audit advisory sm. The recruiter says I'm under qualified and referred me to a manager role, with 5 minimum yoe.
I do not see how internal audit and external arr so different that I need to step down an entire rank. Plus I have some gap assessment experience.
Would you even proceed?

Hey fish, I started recently (within the last year) at post PhD level. I’m thinking about moving into pharma or biotech since I don’t think the ladder in consulting is right for me long term. How long do you need to stay in consulting for before making say 150-200k base in pharma/biotech?

I was very proud of what I submitted, and know it was great quality and up to industry standards given I review/write this type of document quite frequently. They gave me good feedback on it, and I have it in the back of my mind that they are using applicants from consulting as free labor. Anyone else feel this way about interview take-home assignments??
