depends on your goals, but most ppl fare best with just buying VOO every so often and holding for long term growth (alternative here being options trading which is far riskier)

I'd really like to be active in buying and trading. I'm not ok with sitting on a little bit of money for a long time and hopefully I get more than what I invested. I need make sure my investments are gonna make something quick so I can sale and be onto the next major investment
Coach
use youtube for trading options but its a gamble and if looking for equity investments, studies have shown even top stock pickers are barely better than a monkey throwing a dart at a board (see daniel kahneman’s work on this)

Buy low, sell high. Profit
You need a certified financial advisor, not a rando from an anonymous board on a place where people complain about their job.
Learn all the basics first. What impact things like interest rates have on equities, and what earnings periods and ex dividend dates do to prices. Then treat most option plays as gambling at first. You will lose often.
Work out how to calculate the standard deviations from pricing and watch the tasty trade series. There are lots of very low risk low return options plays that can be done, that if carefully managed in the long term can give a reasonable return. Don’t go looking for the yolos unless you have some inside knowledge
