Would say yes it’s worth it unless you’re trying to get nights/status for lifetime Marriott
Just doing the math average points values using Aspire:
(10 pts base + 20 pts card promo + 10 pts diamond + 14 points card)* 0.4¢/pt = 21.6% returns
Comparing to Marriott platinum using Bonvoy card:
(10 pts base + 7.5 pts platinum + 7 pts card) * 0.7¢/pt = 17.15%
This holds for CSR/AmEx plat also and even assuming conservative 0.35¢/pt for Hilton
interesting. never happens to me. anything with high cash rates ($500+) is always like 200k points per night... no thanks
The only people I’ve ever heard say Marriott is best are the people who have only ever gained status with Marriott.
That’s not to say that you shouldn’t stay at Marriott properties. They have tons of hotels and different brands and that carries value. Their loyalty program is just shit.
luxury collection/ritz/jw/st regis are all super solid (some are amazing) and usually not more than 60k points per night. hilton has conrad and waldorf and london which charge 120-300k points per night. hilton is only good for cheaper properties or properties in cheap cities imo.
promos go away. Marriott better long term
Nope
What's the 3x promo?
