TPG values MR points at $.02/point. The Corporate Amex Green earns 1 point/$ on everything, therefore $2,750 would be the breakeven point. More if you go with a more conservative valuation (like their best domestic travel option according to TPG’s valuations is Delta, at 1.44 cpp)
Thanks for chiming in M2. Good to know the range of valuation and potential spending needed to break even to help my decision on whether or not to enroll. I think with I can sti hit the spending for lowest valuation.
And I think next step is to do more research on the transfer partners and ways to maximize these points when I get them ;)
1-2 cents per point. You might be able to get more through transfer partners but I wouldn’t bank on it.
That's the math I did - conservative 1-cent valuation. Still made sense for me to sign up, given hotels, class dinners, etc.
