I’ve been an Admin Assistant for 5 years with the last 2 in a government. I have worked hard to get here thinking this is what I wanted. Now that I’m here, making 40k CAD/yr. In an effort to make my job opportunity appealing, I am asking everyone in this bowl about an appropriate job title. Is "Administrative Assistant" outdated or unappealing? I certainly don't want to mislead anyone on the job responsibilities, but I do want to avoid any potential negative stereotypes attached to that job title. Hi- I’m an hourly AA, been on the role for 6 months now and it’s my first AA job. I did not get a raise when I took the job because it was technically a demotion ( I was a team leader at a contact center). I assist two VPs and now they want to add a third because they’re looking for the “ 3:1 ratio “. Should I ask for a raise? Is this normal? I know another AA that handles 3+ people but idk if she’s hourly or salary. Any thoughts?

The pay Is a bit less but it's about 5.5 miles from my house.close. Why do people pray for government jobs? At the moment I'm with ucla health as an admin assistant float permanent& have been offered permanent placement at a site in LA about 16 miles . The pay seems pretty decent& also have the pension plan. Been here about 2 years no issues.

Happy Wednesday everyone. I'm so excited, I have a recruiter call scheduled with @Meta for Administrative Partner position. I've been in my current employer role for 19 years and I'm nervous as heck. I haven't had to do an interview in so long. Can someone please tell me what to expect with the recruiter call? I'm assuming it will be mostly about the role, my skills and background?
