Hello Everyone,
I am a fresher with over 9+ months of experience as a Data Engineer at Tata Consultancy .
I just needed some suggestions from you experienced folks.🙏
In my current project my colleagues have over 6+ years of experience and are not very supportive and scold me for unnecessary reasons, which is effecting my mental health.😔
Also I am not getting to learn anything.

Hi Fishes
I would like to know about the client interviews (especially in data science or machine learning roles).
Are these interviews tough?
Are these interviews meant to assess technical knowledge? For example, what is binomial distribution, what are different data structures in python, ml algorithms etc.
I would request each of the nagarrians to share their thoughts irrespective of the technologies you are working.
I am thankful to you for taking time and helping me out.
Nagarro

Perks about working for a government client 🙌
OP has foresight. Probably from experience. I don't see no reason to doubt their leadership based on this post.
As a Principal I would think you would be more careful about causing additional (and unnecessary) fear with that type of statement with the people that work under you. I would like to think that you, as a “leader”, would realize that additional stressors like the possible loss of employment due to an unforeseen circumstance would hurt productivity.
I hear about people making principal that really shouldn’t have due to lack of leadership skills. Your post is not constructive and will hurt feelings as well as your bottom line.
EY2, update your resume, re-connect with your non work friends, start the process while it’s still not stressful.
What is the first habit of Steven Covey’s 7 Habits id Highly Effective People? Be proactive.
Couldn’t agree more with the OP. If you aren’t worried you should be. Every Partner/Principal I talk to is. This is a rapid hard stop.
Clients will tolerate a work from home for a week or two but then it’s out of sight out of mind. Programs get cancelled large teams scaled back.
No one is being dramatic this is a serious shock to every firm and every firm will need to respond. Just read about the tour staff/wait staff/casual staff already being let go. Not one of the big 4 has deep enough pockets to sustain a big bench for a indeterminate period.
Personally never said that what OP said is invalid - but I’d have preferred a post like yours, P2. Substantiated, with reason, and not cocky. OP and you are both leaders, but very different. Thank you for explaining and not fear mongering.
What a great leader you are OP. I bet many people look up to you!
The layoffs usually start with the folks that were responsible for maintaining the client relationships...
Agreed. Now isn't the time to Netflix while you WFH. if you're not staffed for the next few months on a recurring client, get on it, or find whatever chargability you can, or start looking for a new Job.
No rest for the wicked.
SM1 great advice take any engagement. I will look to get my team on any engagements regardless of the margins. Just so they are putting utilization on the scoresheet. The last place you want to be at the moment is the bench.

What if my clients are that same hospitals 😂
I’m on an internal project and one of my client delivery partners told me I’m lucky and exactly where I need to be. My leadership is definitely fearful of repercussions and scrambling to sign pipeline deals ASAP.
