As an Indian visa worker in US, I feel Indian managers in ZS are very rude to me , one makes me work longer hours than white team members , never lets me present in workshops , and always criticizes. Last week I made a mistake in a internal report and he said that if I did that again he will book my flight to India. I have never faced this challenge with white managers. Is this a ZS thing or across all firms, I wish to leave because this treatment makes me feel like a lesser person

A lot of my friends have been getting new job offers from amazing companies and while I’m extremely happy and excited for them, I can’t help but feel sad & depressed. I’ve been interviewing for months and have gotten rejected from everywhere I’ve applied. I’m trying to stay positive and celebrate with my friends bc I know they’d do the same for me but it’s difficult because I feel left behind and unsuccessful compared to them. It would help if I knew there was a light at the end of this tunnel.

Looking for thoughts on if you would pursue an MBA given my age, YOE, current pay/track and post-MBA goals. 27M, 3 YOE all in consulting. I recently started a new job as a M1 (data side) and got 160k base + 30k sign on (late joiner so no bonus). I believe I could get to SM in 1-2 years. I don’t want to pivot into IB or PE, probably don’t want to work the hours required for MBB, but enjoy consulting and could see myself exiting to a tech company down the road. 26M making $155k base and about $185k TC at a large payments firm (Visa, MC, AmEx). I’m also 1 year away from promo which will probably get me to $210-220k TC. Do you think I still need an MBA? A lot of senior leaders in my team have 1 so I’m really not sure at this point. The opportunity costs are high, but I’m well aware of the long term benefits. I’ve also already taken the GMAT and gotten a 740. I’m an Asian male and find the hurdles that we go through for admissions a turn off as well.

For all the people who say we should max out our 401k, IRA etc, Are you guys saving most of your spending money to have wealth after retirement? That’s after 65? Let’s say we live up to 80. Ideally we work close to 45 years to save for the next 15 years. At this point, we will have social security benefits from government. What’s the point of retiring with millions of dollars if we can’t enjoy the money till 65? I know a lot of you doesn’t have this opinion,Just think about it:) Enjoy your life!
