First day back from PTO

Hi fellow creatives! I’m looking for any and all kinds of creative people to participate in a research study!
www.creativitystudy.com
I’m a creativity researcher working on my dissertation on the psychology & neuroscience of creativity. I’m interested in understanding how different types of creative careers, side hustles, and artistic outlets relate to our emotions, mental health, & well-being. Ultimately to help build awareness, resources, & improve the lives of creative people.

Tech internships are way down. Budget cuts, remote work confusion, and companies just skimping on early-career investments make them scarce. For paid ones, it’s especially tough.

Definitely! I did a few unpaid internships in college and it was worth it, but in today's economy, you have to be lucky to be able to afford that luxury.

I think companies are shrewdly focused on more senior roles. Additionally, a lot of the work we used to do in internships (cataloguing, taking notes, summarizing info) can now be done with AI. I'm sure interview will come back eventually, but it will look different.
It’s unfortunate that this happens. It removes the vital link between university and work. Candidates end up stuck in a limbo where they aren’t productive or up to date with how things work in real life when trying to land a job, yet they’ve already invested a lot of time and money in their education. I wish universities were more effective at connecting students with internships.
