I raised some issues in my team, and now all the male members are telling me “no need to interact with us”. And labeling me as assuming things and that they “never said” anything. All my work credit has been taken away and said they will do it, I don’t need to. I feel helpless and that I’ll get fired, these powerful people won’t let me live here.

The recent most billable hours post, inspired me. What is your longest billable day? Mine was 56 hours straight with no break—and the partner was more than a jerk when I was saying no more at the 30 hour point. That was two 24 hour billable days back to back on my time sheet and on the bill, a 360 hour month, and 650 aggregated for two months. And it is one reason (of so many reasons) why this job can suck so much! At least I got a good bonus...

I can’t believe I’m saying this but I finally got the exit opportunity from my dream with a 50% increase in compensation thanks to this group for countless help and the ability to connect with so many people. Deloitte advisory is one of the most soul sucking jobs and it’s def nothing beyond staff augmentation. Why would anyone brag about working over the weekend? We’re not saving lives people!!! Glad to be out and hope the grass is greener on the other side.

Saw this on LinkedIn this morning. I must admit at times I don’t get questioned by just men but women as well who don’t understand why I’m working tirelessly for equality. They either state it’s an uphill battle or “all in my head.” Has anyone been told that gender equality is a mirage? How did you handle the situation? No wrong answers!

If you plan to leave your firm and your manager asks you why you're leaving, what do you say? I have a legitimate non-bridge-burning reason unrelated to comp or simply "big tech is better" reason. I have asked for more client facing exposure and haven't gotten it cause weird reasons, which was the factor that caused me to look for exits in the first place. But I'm not sure if I should bring this up. Should I just be vague and say "looking for a new chapter"?

I joined Deloitte in 19’ and don’t buy into the circlejerk that seems to go on both for / against the company - I like being a part of the firm but am underwhelmed with where the recent compensation cycle resulted. I have an opportunity with a small business to get a roughly $45k salary increase, but would have 2 sacrifice the security of Deloitte, wfh and paternity leave, which will come into play this fall as we have a baby due in November. Anyone make a similar switch before or havethoughts?
