I've got a job offer from Deloitte Latvia ( Deloitte Central Europe) for the Riga City. The gross compensation is 3000€/monthly along with one time 2500€ as a relocation allowance with other benefits like 45€/month as Telephone reimbursement etc & other usual Deloitte benefits. Currently I've a ctc of 11 LPA at EY & 3.5 YOE. Is it worth accepting the offer after all calculations. #Deloitte #Europe #Latvia . Deloitte EY . Kindly provide some insights if u have any .
Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!

I wouldn’t complain. Have never received a bonus. Ever.
Yeah, “no bonus” in an industry that doesn’t give out many bonuses seems like a pretty thin reason to leave an agency.
No agency is giving a bonus this year. You are lucky
And I spent it all in one place
Spoiler alert: most agencies aren’t even giving a gift card.
Update: we got a gift card to get a plant 🪴
Yes. Would you prefer longer hours or increased responsibility?
Second option.
Never got a bonus. Been years since I got a gift card.
I didn’t mention the value. Stay tuned.

Ive been around in the agency world for 20+ years. Back in the day you got a hefty bonus at the end of the year, yearly raises, a fabulous holiday party and an over the top summer party as well as fun outings throughout the year plus anniversary gifts and prizes. But that was also before clients started shopping around on the regular, billable hours became a thing and layoffs weren't a thing unless you lost a couple big clients. The industry has changed greatly over the years and the expectation of a bonus (raise, promotion) is part of the past.
You may have gotten bonuses 20+ years ago. Not all of us did. I’ve been here for almost 30 years and never got a bonus I’d call “hefty.” A gift card was the best of it, and I think that happened three times. And raises came once every four years or so, like they do now.
was the gift card over/under the supposed stimulus check?
Damn, my secret Santa gift was $20. That’s rough.
What does your agency’s financials look like? Did your agency lose business this year? Is there a pandemic going on?
Good. No pay cut, no layoffs, nothing.
We once got a $200 gift card at Saatchi. It was the only time I got a “bonus” for the end of the year. I take that over a branded mug.
I once got a $100 savings bond as a bonus. It cost the agency $50 dollars and i'd have to wait 15 years for it to be worth $100.
Wait. You get bonuses? Hahahahahahahaaaa! My how expectations have changed. One agency in my life has ever given a bonus. Please enjoy your jelly of the month club.
I have never in my career received a bonus
At Grey we used to get bonuses every year. It was expected. They were pretty good, too. I think mine got up to $11K while I was an ACD. About 8% of my salary at the time. Then the next year it was $5K. I was pissed. Other people were pissed too (we didn't discuss $$, but it was clear people got about half of what they got the year before). Then it was $2K. An insult. Then it was nothing. Forever. They just did away with it...and suddenly that $2K looked pretty sweet.
Most agencies picked their favorite few to give $$$ to.
This thread has been showing a very sad reality We deserve more. This is not fair, compared with the workload we have, the bs often coming from weird clients, the pressure, the weird timelines, disrespect from unprofessional leaders, etc.
But, you know, sorry all you got was a gift card for your bonus
We never get a bonus but we did get a book of poems this year.
Plot twist of the year: I’m receiving a stimulus check.
