My company Qualitest India has a lot of openings for Manual and Automation testers/DEVOPS/ETL and other roles for India and even abroad. Please check https://qualitestgroup.com/careers/open-positions/#open-positions and contact me personally with suitable job id from the link above. I will try to refer.
Note: I am not a recruiter. I work there as an Engineer and just trying to help people. 😊

Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

What is your LOB? 10K RSU and 18K bonus is pretty darn awesome. 120K base for mid-level seems pretty good to me considering it's NM. I'm making 125K base in TX for similar position.
I'm assuming LOB means line of business? If so I'm in telecommunications
That seems on point to me. I’m in Louisiana but working for an IT Consulting company remotely and based out of our Dallas branch. I’ve got 9 years of software engineering experience but 18 years over all with the first 9 years focused on database and general IT activity. All that said, my salary is $118/yr and I have a minimal “bonus” based on months of employment with the company, which is barely even mentionable since I’ve only been with my current company for 8 months. I think I stayed at my last job for too long and they took advantage of me by not really paying market rate the last few years as I got about a 20% bump with my new job.
Mid level engineer even though it’s your first job in tech?
Being a SWE in tech is only one industry - maybe they were a SWE in some other industry?
I don't know the NM market but that seems pretty competitive to me. I'm in IL, 125k + 10% bonus target, 7 YoE, and I manage a team with 5 direct reports.
Lowes 1 - Nowadays people refer to their pay as TC (total compensation) which includes base salary, RSUs (stocks), sign-on bonus, year bonus, and such. FAANG practically pays more than what you make for a person with little to no experience but you'll prob be in a VHCOL/HCOL area like NY or CAL. If you're a Senior, Lead, or Staff Engineer at a FAANG company, you would be making an insane amount of money (~$400k+). Even at other companies, you could definitely earn close to $200k or more TC with 10+ YOE as long as you're good at what you do and are able to lead projects/teams. I think there's a Staff SWE on this app that mentioned his TC is $500k (prob in a VHCOL/HCOL area though).
YoE? But just check levels fyi/glassdoor
Sounds like you got a pretty good deal then if you have no experience
120k , 18000 bonus and you still want to re-evaluate ? You’re doing pretty fine for someone with no experience so I’d say just stick on and don’t worry until gaining some reasonable experience.
110k in Seattle when I was a fresh grad. 190k a year later.
Thats a ridiculous good salary for a no experience person! Is that a big tech company? Or just a normal company? Im curious..
Big company. Fortune 500 I think
I’m an entry level swe in the bay area, my base is 85K, no other bonuses. But I do get up to $2.4K of 401k matching a year
Yup, I have 30-40 years in my entire career so the salary in the first year or two imo is not that relevant. I’m just happy I got my foot in the door and I have a good team to work with. Worst case if they can’t meet my salary expectations after a year or two, there are plenty of opportunities in the bay area. Plus I have a lot of friends who can refer me to big tech in the near future
Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I got a great salary for my first role! I had occasionally seen engineers usually principal/staff saying 500k+ so didn't know if the jump from one level to the next was that large or if it was based on company.
As one of the 500k+ TC, it goes up surprisingly quickly if you're at a place that values experience
Are you in Milwaukee? I was making TC $150k after 8 YoE working in that area. Sounds like you’re doing pretty well. Don’t expect $300k+ salaries without moving to big tech
In NM I'd say that's pretty good
