Had a bad showing for case interview about a month ago. I knew the material i just straight up had a bad day. Took feedback in exit interview and feel prepared to reapply for a different role with no cool off time… should I still wait or shoot my shot?

I gave interview in Amazon and cleared all the rounds , then went on hold and still on hold due to hiring freeze in that departement. HR does respond and update me when reached out.
Interesting thing which happened here is iam cracking each every product based interviews now after my tough preparation for Amazon and getting higher packages than what Amazon would give. So whatever happens , happens for good. Cheers Amazon

My feedback was that my case interview was strong performance but my fit not as much.
For some specific capabilities we have a more technical exercise that may be a bit more prep than the panel case format OW2 describes. It may still culminate in a presentation, but instead of 30 min to review some facts and structure what is still largely a traditional case interview, we might give you an actual dataset further in advance, and ask to perform some analysis on it and present your findings.

I went through the process recently. I had a take home case and the present to a Principal. I also had a panel presentation with couple of partners and finally a fit with a partner. It’s for Digital US. Waiting for the decision.
We have historically been one of the only firms that had a “presentation case” as part of the interview process. You would get a room with a white board and a folder of materials. Then you have 30m alone to read through, come to a recommendation, and sketch out some visuals to present to the partner at the end of the 30m.
This helps us understand if you can engage with people. We oscillate between using them and not, but in this case they may have chosen it to test your ability to present since you didn’t do well on the fit.
Either way it sounds like just a remote version of our presentation case we used to do pre-Covid.
