One feedback from my SM was that I (a senior) should leverage work down more. We have 8 seniors to 1 staff. Ha ha. This is laughable right?

I’ll trade you some staff for your seniors.

And I thought there was a shortage of seniors..which manager/partner is the hoarder?

Let your counselor know. They will shoot that out of orbit at the round table.

I was told the same thing on a review. Told me I should send a return to one of the staff. Implying I should do that. So I sent him a screenshot of everyones workload. Showing everyone had over 150 hours of billable time in their queue list, I had only 100, and asked him what one should I send the work to.

Uhhhh. EY has issues if that’s your leverage model

Are you the highest ranked senior that needs promoted? Maybe they are trying to get you to give work to a first year senior so you can move up.

Consider leveraging staff at our GDS.

Dallas is the same way. We have so many more seniors than staff rn. I’ve never seen seniors prepare so many wps in my life.

Get a staff from another office or offshore team

You don’t have to only work with the staff in your office. You can reach out to resource management and ask for help. There are numerous of under utilized staff around the firm. You just need to tap into the resources. GDS is another option.

I’m hoping to steer clear of any scams by posting & I know it’s been posted before but, again, scams. Anyway, I am looking for something that can be done remotely on nights and weekends after I get home from my daily in-office job. My sister passed away & I’m now helping raise her kids. With Christmas coming, I’m nervous and dreading the season not only to not have her but will I make it a happy one for the kids. I need extra income but need to be home with them in the evenings.

If anyone is willing to have a phone call that would be greatly appreciated. I am in environmental.

I’m interviewing at Google’s Treasury team. The role would be as a rates analyst managing their portfolio - primarily cash and short duration fixed income products (100bn aum). TC: ~150k, not sure of breakdown.

I currently work as a quant/middle office at a very well reputed mutual fund, but this is not a market facing role. TC: 125k, but they have a very generous profit sharing plan that contributes 25% of my pay to retirement accts if I stay for 6 years, so ~160k?

Any thoughts?

If yes, then kindly suggest a reasonable salary range for this role.

Recently started a new project, everyone’s remote, handful know each other, most know no one. Few newer hires. I want to set-up some kind of laid back happy-hour w/out work but I’m failing to find a way to make that happen with 10ish people and I am trying to avoid the mandatory fun vibe. I’d like to get to know these folks, and welcome in the newer ones, but I’m not sure how to proceed(without it being kind of lame).

Today I messed up doing a delivery. The client was expecting the supplies at 3pm in the warehouse, however, there was an accident on the highway and traffic was insane. Hey fishes, can someone tell me how the 80c bracket works, i know i can get exempt upto 1.5lakh under it, what i wanna know is does PF comes under it or not? For example if my yearly pf deduction is 20k and VPF is 10k so now will i still be able to show investment of 1.5lakh under 80c apart from PF and VPF or i'll be able to get exemption on only 1.2 lakh( 1.5lakh-30k= 1.2lakh)?

Thank you in advance!!

Just finishing my first week in as an audit intern and genuinely I have no idea what I'm doing or even a general idea of the audit process. The senior associate left the engagement last week so it's just me and an associate, and they don't have time to give me instruction.

Am I stupid or did the e-learns not prepare me for any of this? The training told me I'd be auditing cash but I haven't even touched a bank reconciliation.
