Our community does not allow for hate speech, political speech, etc. Do you think online communities should have clear guidelines on political discussions and contentious topics? If so, how do you define and enforce those in your org?

There should definitely be guidelines around political content and controversial issues. Generally speaking, I’ve been able to say “No politics!” and members understand. If they violate that rule, they get a warning about the rule.
Every community is different and I imagine that many communities are created to discuss politics. But in the communities I’ve run, politics didn’t belong in the discussion.

My background is in tech transactional. I joined a cybersecurity SaaS startup at the end of last year and now also handle more generalist matters in addition to all things commercial-related. Can anyone recommend books they’ve found helpful for L&E matters, privacy matters, product matters, or marketing/advertising matters?

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

Sorry if this isn't the right bowl for this question - I've checked a few.
