He felt awkward doing that, I thanked him for thinking of me, but then he said we all told your ex he is an idiot for letting you go and they asked my ex it they could still be touch with me and he said yes.

With the holidays fast approaching, I can't help but wonder why I've pigeonholed myself into a career path that keeps me away from family at crazy hours and days. I miss birthdays, holidays; you name it. Three years in, I can see why divorce rates are so damned high.

It’s a modest Midwest city with ~100k residents but is a relatively touristy spot.
