Passed CFA Level 3 this summer. Currently in DCM at a BB and not sure what to aim for next. Aside from informational interviews to decide the best fit... Any suggestions or recs? What would you do?

I feel very stuck in doing ocm work but would like to get more technical. I’m struggling with finding the support to move within the company and when applying to other jobs I only hear back from other change roles. At this point do you all think it would be better to go to a small no name firm where I’m a lot more likely to branch into something else (interested in anything else, esp data), stay where I am and have more conversations, or move to another big consulting company &move within?

My company is moving but I need to stay in NYC for family reasons. I searched everywhere to find a similar culture to where I am now and I feel like I found that at Bloomberg. Right before Year-End I completed an interview for an HR Role but it’s been a standstill since. We left the call talking about the next phases of interviews so I was hopeful!

Would a referral help kick start this again?

How long does it take from applying to start date generally? Looking to line something new up after my 12 weeks notice, not sure if applying now is ridiculous. I’ve always assumed if you get an offer you’re expected to start in 4-6 weeks.

I finished interviewing for a strategy role at a boutique almost a month ago. Had great interviews through all the rounds. On a weekly basis I get an email from HR saying they are finishing up interviews. But this has been ongoing for almost a month. They keep asking if I have any timing constraints but I don’t have any other offers. How can I ask them to give me a final answer?

After 2 months of applying to 13 favorite companies and not getting call from anyone (tried with both referrals and without referrals) , I finally decided to give up. 😪
