Do you guys make fully tailored cover letters when applying for senior analyst / junior associate positions? I just don't have the time

I have been going on interviews and noticed 2 department heads already assume I was laid off or fired due to a 4 months gap. I explained I left my last role due to short term health issues that have been resolved. Not even sure how to respond when they assume. Any advise? Thanks!

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. What can I read for a Cloud Migration Consultant - AI/ML role as my 1st round of interview is scheduled.
I have 0 knowledge in Cloud and System Design and these 2 are also a key component to test in RRK.
When I asked recruiter that I do not have any knowledge he replied with then you would not be asses on these areas but rather on ML and Project Management.
What I am doubtful is how they can comprise with requirements?
