Maybe they’re shy
Or they’re introverted, weird and shy.
What’s weirder is when you work on a project with an account person / strategist / producer for 6 months, go through the wringer together and then once the project is done they walk past you like you’ve never met before
Yes, that’s one of the oddest things.
People are too obsessed with how they appear on LinkedIn.
Sounds like something I'd do 😂
Especially when you work from home...
And then they, like, take a shower in my bathroom. And use my towel!
Or you are.
Good one Jimbo
I like being weird, builds character.
I don’t think it’s weird. It’s networking but doesn’t necessarily mean they need to be social
I think it’s kind of odd. Even if a person is introverted, a simple nod or wave isn’t going to kill them. They’re “social” enough for a business social network, and work in a professional setting. It’s something of a common courtesy to acknowledge a coworker. You don’t need to have an in-depth conversation, but being polite is a good practice. And to the person who commented, “I don't think it's weird. It's networking but doesn't necessarily mean they need to be social”, I think you’re absolutely wrong. Networking is all about building relationships. I don’t really want people in my network if they are only interested in using me as a stepping stone. No thanks. If that’s your attitude, then that’s cool, but don’t expect me to be receptive to your requests for help in building your career.
Maybe not for you. Says a lot about you. The best networking is always about the people and the working relationships you build.
