Hi All, I am an IT professional with 3.3 years of experience.
Stock Portfolio Amount invested - 12.7 L
Swing trading capital - 1.6 L
Education loan EMI - 9k per month
Started my career with 28k per month salary, current salary is 45k per month.
Working from home, i tried my best to live frugally and invest as much as possible.
The EMI is problem for me as I see it as a liability.
My dad wants me to buy a flat worth 50L on a home lone but I have refused.

I will be starting my next job from June which will be around 90k - 1L per month.
But I will have to move to a metro city.
I will also get a term insurance and health insurance when I start my new job.
What things should I keep on mind in future, or any advice you can give me.
I am a 26 single male.

Thanks for the advice,
I have already finalized hdfc for health insurance and max for term insurance will start both with my next job

I'm not at all a party person so covered there also the last point i already know 🙂

Coming to next set of loans, that's where I'm sceptical because I'm not a big spender and want to stay away from loans as much as possible, the only loan I'll think of taking is a home loan few years down the line

The stock portfolio amount is commendable.. keep going

Regarding flat,
It is required and your dad is correct. It will have significant impact on prospects of your marriage(no one talks about it , not talking about dowry but having passive support of inlaws will help you at many points in life in future).
Make sure you have atleast 25% in advance and your dad can contribute atleast 5-8 lakhs). Take a homeloan of 35Lakh then.

TC : 45 L, 5 YEO

- 375k in a brokerage
- 5-6k per month cash that I can put towards the project, loans, or brokerage

My father took a home loan, and the same home is kept as mortgage.
I'm paying arround 22k emi for the same but unable to exempt tax as the loan is on my father's name.

I googled a lot how to transfer it but neither gift deed nor sale deed would work as the property is on mortgage that's under bank's ownership (until loan is fulfilled).
Tax is also getting deducted, I'm paying hefty emis.
What can I do?
Please advise 🙂

1. Where do I even start?
2. What %age of income should I invest?

I hope I'm not late.

My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
