Bandcamp (use a lot of hashtags to be discovered), then use a distributor like DistroKid to hit all streaming platforms. Then make content on social using the song. Your first song probably won’t hit. You’ll need to keep adding to your catalog as your audience builds. Good luck. :)
Thanks for your pointers! And for wishing me luck :)
I would even use TikTok when it's there because like you said, there's no place better than TT for songs to blow up. All it takes is one creator jumping on the song and the rest is history.
I would first, release the song on popular streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube to ensure it's accessible. Then, create engaging content around the song for TikTok and Instagram, focusing on trends and challenges that encourage user interaction. Collaborate with influencers and use targeted ads to reach your desired audience. Consistency and storytelling will help build momentum over time.

Minority opinion based on the replies but becoming very good at your craft and continuing to hone it will get you further and be more creatively rewarding. Especially compared to jumping on whatever the soup of the day is on tiktok. Anyone can attach themselves to a stupid trend on social or do some lame front facing camera self promo. Very few people can write and produce a bop.
“You sat in your room and wrote a song. That doesn’t mean you automatically get to make money” (or get a lot of streams on your stuff)
Like the quote below, just make music for you. Keep working. Keep making. You will get better.
