Had a bad showing for case interview about a month ago. I knew the material i just straight up had a bad day. Took feedback in exit interview and feel prepared to reapply for a different role with no cool off time… should I still wait or shoot my shot?
Asking as I am curious if my app will be flagged as I just applied to another role recently.EY-Parthenon

Clean out all your computer files. Make sure files are saved in the right place and named properly.
OMG it drives me NUTS when someone just shoots me a random link to files. Having stuff organized is so helpful to have a better sense of what to look for.
Congratulations on getting the offer and good for you for wanting to exit on a positive note! I'd take this time to think about all the specific processes you alone know or are responsible for. Essentially, if you disappeared today, what would your team struggle with the most? Figure out what those things are and then begin to document and explain them to the best of your abilities, either through a simple Word doc or screen recordings. Once the background check clears and you've broken the news, you can outline what you've been working on and ask the team for assistance filling in the gaps of anything you might have overlooked.
Smart guidance. Thank you. Definitely like the screen recording idea to help document things for transitions.
It's smart to keep things quiet until everything is ironclad. In the meantime, as you do your work, have a thought for continuity. Make sure you don't have anything set up to be a potential time bomb if you're not there to deal with it. Make sure things are well organized and when you hand things off it should go pretty smoothly.
Continuity is so important. I think its smart to make sure you have things staffed appropriately if you're about to leave. 1) So it is easier for the team to continue and 2) It just makes the transition period easier if someone is already in the weeds of the work rather than catching up from scratch.

I’d start documenting any work streams you own and how to do them. For example, I have an account where clients are quite particular on how press releases are created & shared, and I typically oversee this. Documenting how these need to be done with examples and past feedback will go a long way for your teams.
