Looking to start investing (mostly Index Funds and some crypto). Any tips on where to get an account for index funds? Vanguard? Fidelity? Charles Schwab? Somewhere else? What’s most cost efficient?

Anyone know how taxes work when you sell for a gain? Do Coinbase and other sites prepare a 1099 or are we on our own to "self report" our gains to Uncle Sam?

I racked up about $20k in credit card debt due to a confluence of things happening at once (move, school expenses , etc ). I have a fair amount of paper assets but not a much free cash. Assets are down a decent amount with the current market cycle and I’d prefer not to sell them to cover the debt , although they easily could. Currently maxed Roth 401k, Roth IRA, HSA, and ESPP at 23 YO, should I consider an after-tax conversion? I’ve read about back-door Roths but I’m still far below the income limit as an analyst. I NEED HELP WITH CREDIT SCORE issues: Two months ago my credit score went down by 30 to 40 points due to dad missing credit card payment by a day (i got added to as authorized user on his credit card for me to build credit but now I’m filled with regret).
