Talking on an offer for a accounting manager/controller role today. Pretty comfortable staying in public another year and feel like I have leverage, any advice on how far to take negotiations?

I was offered a data analysis public health remote position. Director said “if you don’t hear from HR by the end of the week let me know” that was last Friday HR hasn’t contacted me and I sent the director an email letting her know. It’s Wed and still nothing. Should I email again? Thoughts?

After a final interview, how many days after can I expect an answer from the recruiter?

At the end of the interview, the person told me I passed the interview and they were going to talk to the Director who’s a level under them. It’s a yes for them and they’re happy to work with me.

I also sent my references. I don’t know when I can expect an reply. Recruiters from that company aren’t really organised

I had a great conversation with a hiring manager who said things like I can’t believe she (recruiter) found you, you are so polished, I want you to meet with the girl on my team -like I had it in the bag. The conversation with the girl on the team went well and told me how excited the hiring manager is and called her right away…. I email the recruiter to ask about next steps and nothing……

I have confirmation that I have been selected for a Program Manager Role at Ather Energy. We will be discussing offer details soon, and I am looking for some info on what the comp/CTC + signing bonus numbers look like in seasoned start-up turned-MSMEs like Ather Energy for a Program Manager role. I have 1.5 years exp and UK MSC and my market research + Ather info say that 17-18 LPA would be the right bracket to settle in. I'd however be happy to negotiate for more.

So, the temp we hired for tax season, a senior, jumped ship, giving us an hours notice. I’m in industry, 3 in my tax team & our company is expanding big time. I have been reaching out to CFOs and Head of M&A titles both in my direct network and via connections with limited success. Check the overtime laws for your state!!

I just recently worked 58.6 hours in a week, weekly pay, nice OT profit right? Depends on where you live.

In Iowa, there is no Overtime pay mandate, the overtime pay is at the discretion of the business. I received 58.6 hours of base pay for the week.

If the company makes less than $1 million per year or does not engage in intercontinental sales, the company is not required to pay the overtime rate of time and a half, just your base rate.

With 4 YOE in consulting what is a better use of time —study to get into MBB or study for GMAT for an MBA? Eventually want to get into the startup/ventures space (investing or ops)

It is common practice at my small firm by two main partners to fly through transactions for clients regardless of potential conflicts (for the company) or issues that may arise. It is often chaotic and has led to lawsuits being filed by investors against the clients. I know this is expected from time to time but I feel like I’m not getting the proper exposure to doing deals the right way. Would it be better at a larger firm or is this common anywhere?
