Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Ask for more. Always. Companies never come at you with their best and expect you to negotiate. Don’t let first Gen mentality stop you. Let it fuel you to tell your community how you did it. And negotiate base. RSUs and bonuses are never guaranteed, come with restrictions, vesting periods, etc. Negotiate base on “market research”. The worst they can say is no.
“For your YOE” do people get paid more for the work you will be doing regardless of yoe? If so, you can still negotiate. If you are successfully taking on the same responsibilities, why should age be a factor?
I have negotiated offers with no other offer. Never accept at face value, it is unlikely they came with their best offer. I tend to ask for several things so there is room for them to say yes to at least something. I tend to say something like “I think $xxx is more in line with the market and what I was expecting for this role” then if they say they can do something less than what you are looking for I ask for something something additional, if you are at top of the range ask for extra PTO, more signing bonus, extra RSUs - what ever is most valuable to you.
This is very very helpful; thank you!
Is this Coinbase? Where is the offer from?

Too late to negotiate this, you should have been hunting for additional equivalent offers

You can certainly ask for more. And you should. But that’s not really negotiating
Your taking a 50% increase in base already!?! Have many YOE?
Newly promo senior = ~2 years out of college
Without a competing offer it will be tough. I would try to up the RSU. Either way I would take whatever counter they give. Congrats!
Also low income first gen so bit feel like I’m being greedy at this point but that increase is quite doable for a company right?
Is that RSU per year? Will you get equity refreshers?
Solid offer, well played!
What’s your background. ? What do you do at EY ?
Should have gotten into Deloitte...its harder to get into than Harvard.
Your $100k & new offer of $220k are for same location? Are you based in west coast? If you are moving from low cost to high cost of living location - you can easily ask for more based on that. Even if it’s for same location you can ask for increase in base pay without having any counter offer
Both for NYC. How do you suggest phrasing ask for higher base without counter & no relo?
