Global Commodity Manager - Google Hi All, I went through the interview process with google for a Global Category Manager . The recruiter told me that base was 90K, 10-15% bonus and stocks at around 25-30K per year. This is the min level for the role, but potential of base to go up to 110K depending how the interviews went. I'm feeling like the base is low for 6 years of experience, the industry and livingin Houston. Anyone have direct comp experience to share from the company? Thanks

Well I joined Microsoft at lvl 64 and am learning I was lowballed. I really thought I was coming in at lvl 63 so I was happy w the comp... Throughout the process I was recommended another similar role by the recruiter and I didn't realize it was at a higher level (my fault).
I was looking to stay here long term but now it may just be a few years
I'm at 160k base
50k stocks over 4 years
10k sign on after 1st year
Up to 80 percent bonus... Average is 40 percent
I'm seeing ppl coming in at lower levels w higher/comparable comps.
Now that I research 64...ppl are getting 100k+ is stocks and massive sign ons
get. a competing offer and lever

Sounds like there was some sign on money left on the table but there could be some good news.
Depending on how they manage salaries within the band you could see more significant merit increases to bring you in line with the rest of the higher band. Whereas, if you came in at the top of the lower there is only so much they can do without giving you a promotion, which might be a bigger ask if you've only been there 6-months to a year depending on when the annual review process takes place.
