I have some matrimonial disputes going on in court. Does it affect my job joining in UST?

I believe it's the employees personal matter and nothing to relate on job prospects (this is what i got as a reply from my previous employer)

Do I need to inform about my matrimonial disputes or should I keep quiet? How does background verification team consider this.

I’m hosting family from America in my home in Europe this week. Being away for just a couple of years has made me really aware of American tendencies. I judge the company I work every time they misspell my name even though I’ve corrected it over and over again. It tells me they don’t care and don’t want to make the effort. It’s in my email, my email signature, on my profile, etc. How hard is it to look it up and spell it correctly?!
