50 shades of black under my eyes..
Advice needed - boyfriend has almost 3.5 years of finance experience at a bank. Interviewed for PwC valuation senior associate and now recruiter says they want to hire him at “experienced associate” because he has no valuation experience. Is this too big of a step backwards in career? Should he push back and see if it gets him anywhere? If he does accept Associate, is it reasonable to ask for written, definitive timeline (1 year?) for promo to Senior upon meeting standards? Help!
we’re down to the B3 now

Weeks of 4th of july and thanksgiving firm closed
31 pto days (manager level), max 10 rollover days. Not aware of any sick day policies
8-12 weeks standard for parental leave
I would like to add PTO days for Associates is 21 and for Seniors is 25! Total company holidays is 17, one of which is a floating holiday. I think CRZ has one of the best PTO and leave packages around
Week off for July 4th and 7 days off for Christmas/New Years.
4 day weekends for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.
1 day off for MLK Day.
Otherwise "flexible" vacation policy with no specific limit. People average around 3 weeks of flexible PTO per year with days/weeks here and there, though this varies by person.
10 days to be used for personal/family care.
Staff 2 but will bump up to Senior 1 in August
Literally just Google this...
Hi! Most mid-sized-smaller firms do not publish details about their PTO/vacation policy online.
Top 10 firm - unlimited PTO plus 12 holidays and a handful of other firm-designated days off. Before we changed to unlimited, I had about 27 PTO days/year (had 20 days/year as a new hire), so I aim to take at least that annually, and encourage my team to do the same, as long as they're still meeting their goals/metrics.
Staff Accountant. Small firm of 200ish. 15 days PTO. 2 floating holidays plus 8 company wide holidays. 5 days sick time. You get another 5 days PTO after 3 or 5 years. I can’t remember. You can rollover 40 hours to the next year. Anything over 40 hrs is paid out.
Thank you!!
Week off for July 4th and Christmas/New Years. In total 17 firm holidays.
22 days Vacation, unlimited sick days, and unlimited family sick days. You can roll over 22 vacation days each year
12 weeks of full parental leave, with an optional 4 week add on of 60% work schedule but full pay
This is applicable for all people at the firm who have been there for more than 2 years or manager and above.
The only difference for those below manager and less than 2 years at the firm is 15 vacation days.
“Unlimited” PTO. Still need to meet charge hours. Week of July 4th, MLK day, Juneteenth, Friday and Monday for Memorial Day and Labor Day, Thursday and Friday for Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through the day New Years Day are all firm paid holidays. We also get one day a year to do volunteer work. Crowe is flexible in terms of when and where you can work.
I’d say about 3 weeks of actual PTO and if you’re sick, you’re sick. Just remember to work double the hours when you get to feeling better.
Senior Staff
Why don’t you reach out to employees on LinkedIn from those firms? Shouldn’t you also be competing with Big 4 or top 25 pto/vacation policy to be competitive or is your work/life balance already better than Big 4?
