Need help: my dad did an interview for US citizenship in May and he passed but they said they will do some ‘investigation’ and will hear back within 120 days. Its been more than that and we haven’t heard back. We have an international travel coming soon and we are a bit worried about this situation whether the immigration will cause any issue regarding this while returning. Please suggest any advice

For folks who recently got their EAD, how long from the time of filing your I-485 did you get it?

From the day my firm files my green card application, how long will I have to wait to be approved and receive my green card? For further context, I was born in China and only have an undergrad degree.

I have approved I-140. Indian nationality so priority date not close to current. If I switch employer, does my employer need to apply for PERM and i140 again as soon as I join, to get H1B extensions?

Does it matter if I don’t meet the specific job requirements when transferring H1B? The job posted requires CPA license but I haven’t got it. The employer is still willing to hire me. I know for PERM process, meeting minimum requirements is important but not sure if H1B have such requirement. I heard that for H1B as long as it’s a position requiring bachelors degree and specifically occupation that should be fine. But kinda worried about this.

Vendors keep on asking to join on W2 rather that Corp to Corp although for employees on H1B we cannot join on W2 due to immigration issues.
