PwCers, does it feel like the firm is going cheap? Here are my observations: 1.Manager bonus drop 2.Letting go IFS stuff 3.Cracking down on out of market training 4.Cheap holiday party 5.Lenovo to HP

You guys still get your phone bill 100% covered and your bonuses beat EY's at almost every level . So I don't have much sympathy for you.

I came from Deloitte recently. They are doing the same thing. I heard partners to tell seniors over their that bonuses were going to be small, along with pay bumps. At Deloitte you couldn't get any type of gear without a WBS. Not a mouse. USB. Headset. Nothing. There was the start of an expense crackdown when I left too. I've heard from some partners that PwC is a little more responsible with their hiring. No rapid hiring and firing like at Deloitte. I'd like to think that it's true and maybe the reason for the trimming of some perks. Anyone have any insight?

I'm not saying it's right, but a partner said it's because we spent a lot (sorry I can't remember the figure) of money on technology (notice how Aura is completely reformatted? Vantage, Inform, Concur, mobile apps... those are all new versions of technology or new versions of tech we already had) but our fees haven't increased substantially and our client base hasn't positively changed.

The money to support the changes has to come from somewhere, and, considering macro economics, since a lot of accounting firms are overstaffed the demand for our profession is falling while the supply is high - driving down the price of which accounting firms are willing to pay employees. This last part is just my opinion.

they also did away with our annual phone upgrade

Finally hit my breaking point. Been nothing but irritable & pissed off these past few weeks. Coach asked me on Friday when I’ll be taking time off & I just broke down. I’m a top performer & a workhorse. I’ve put so much effort into making sure my team is okay I forgot about myself. Now I am buried in work, performance is dropping & I can’t stop crying randomly. I kept telling people I am drowning but no one was listening. Coach is leaning to tell everyone to backoff thankfully.

What’s a fair expectation for my first raise? Publicly traded co with ~2500 employees. I’ve been doing litigation with the company for almost 3 yrs and have only had a 2% cost of living raise so far. Graduated in 2014. Base comp is $127.5k in the Philly area. I see salaries all over the place in this site and it’s hard to tell whether mine is competitive.

Hi! I have a quick question and could use some advice:

I have 1 job offer that is an hour away and pays 45k, after negotiations (Research Associate Position at a University) .

I have just interviewed for a position closer to home and a base salary of 65k, but haven’t heard back from them in about 2 days (He said he would make a decision by yesterday and I’ve reached out).
I have to decide on the first offer by Thursday but I haven’t heard back from the second yet. Thoughts on next move?

Hi! I'm currently interviewing (3/6 interviews so far) for for an appeals manager role for DME. The job entails not only to bill for dme (cms 1500) but also to follow up on any denials or appeals, amongst other administrative duties. My questions are is it typical to have 1 person doing both the billing and denials within a new vertical for all ins.? How difficult is billing for dme as I only have experience in gyn onc and lactation billing? What's a fair salary? I have 8+ yoe in rcm, no certs.

I have given 3 rounds of interview for the position of SE- B8 , i.e. Lead SE. Now in salary discussion round i asked HR for a CTC between a range of 31-34L. But they told me max they can give is 29.5L. I still did not accepted the initial offer from HR, it is going again one more round for salary negotiation after HR confirms the bracket from Business. I know Natwest dont negotiate once you accepted the offer. What CTC can i expect from Natwest for Lead SE.
