PwCers: is there a promotion bonus going from SA to Manager?

Promo bonus you'll get in April. 12.5% if you started PwC as SA and 25% if you started as associate

Recent manager promotion here. PwC 3 has it right. And to clarify it is based on your new salary.

The percentage depends on your amount of time at the firm (there's two different percentage points). It should be on kcurve or you can ask your RP. It's either January, February, or March payout. Sorry I can't remember the specifics!

Definitely used to be a milestone award. Not sure if they are doing it anymore. Definitely worth asking about. 👍👍

I'm asking 😌

Nahh Discover program is the promotion milestone. It is incredible though - one of the best weeks of my life.

When I say no, I mean no promo bonus on top of raise and performance bonus, of course.

But that's for promotion to SA, right?

@pwc2 ugh... Really? That sucks

Oh sorry! Misread -- yes there is definitely a promo bonus from SA to Manager. Gets paid out after the new year (forget exact timing).

Just the satisfaction? That's your bonus 😃

Any idea how much it is? What do you mean "the new year"?

@A1 lol I'm in this shit for the money, nothing else

I just looked on the Total Rewards Strategy Spark site. It is not clear. They are still showing a Manager Milestone Award, but the PDF that it references was for the last promotion year. I would just ask your HR rep. The worst they could say is no. But, if you were hired as an Associate it used to be a significant award.

P3 has it right...if they are still paying it out. These days, who knows.

Wow thanks all! Thanks @pwc1 for looking! I was hired as SA out of my MBA... Hoping to make manager next year!

P3 laid it out well, that's the rule and you get paid in April. Performance bonus plus milestone bonus accounts for ~36k based on your current base.

@M1 wow... That's not bad, I could use 36K for sure!

36k minus taxes and 401k deduction equates to $20k

I don't even remember what I did with mine. Money come money go.

I just got promoted over a friend and I am really worried about how this will impact her. To be honest I think she is even more deserving of the promotion than me. What do I do to make it better so our friendship isn’t poisoned by this?

Just interviewed for this job that sounds superficially good but I think will take me back to the work I did 10 years ago but will pay my target salary and will have a fancy title (VP). I don't really want to do this but I need a job, have run out of UI and don't want to deplete my savings to nothing waiting for the perfect job. If offered, should I take it and continue looking or will it look bad? Changed jobs within 1 year once already. At least this job would be spinnable for what I want.

So what happens to current Ms at the new tiering levels? Especially if they were gunning for a D promotion in the next 1-2 cycles? Do they jump up to SM2? Or just have an extra 2-2.5 years added to their cycle?

Under what circumstances are you willing to relocate for a job? Have family, kids and pets. Got an offer from a well-known company in industry, but requires relocation. The company pays the relocation. Got 20% raise, similar COL in the new city , but the work itself is not that exciting. The attractive part of this offer is the benefit and the name of the company.

I have been poached by my manager about a promotion and am working on a review to share with him. I have continued to express my interest in working on an upcoming brand strategy work, my manager agreed verbally. I just found out that he actually gave the work to a new AE of my team. When I approached him, he didn't give much explanation but that my time will come. How should I navigate this?

Have anyone done contracting negotiations before? I've interviewed for co A & B and co A extended an offer today. The offer does not meet my current salary. Co B's interview structure is 3 rounds and I've finished my 2nd round today. The recruiter mentioned that since I am a contractor my current salary is incomparable as they will provide benefits, etc. Is this true? I have 2 yrs of contracting HR exp from fortunate 500 co’s & OMW to get my SHRM-CP. Appreciate your advice in advance.

Getting ready to sign my contract and raise my right hand for National Guard. I have yet to tell my manager out of fear they try to let me go before I am “officially” in service.
