I’ve started heating up the milk/cream in the microwave in a little mason jar and then shaking it up to get foamy bubbles, and it makes my coffee latte-like, definitely recommend

Well I don't want to become diabetic so I don't put sugar in my coffee.

like

Cream before, no sugar. This way I don't need to use a spoon to stir 🤷‍♂️

Always after

I’d do it before... if I was a sociopath

like

Uh oh

Do you add salt to the pan before you cook your food? Cream and sugar go in after coffee.

like

Before so it mixes when I pour in the coffee

like

If I'm at home, before bc I use a milk frother and have a latte. Otherwise, after.

like

Before so that it doesn’t have a chance to cool down while I’m reaching for the sugar/creamer

like

If using a keurig, before so the coffee pours on it and mixes. Otherwise after, no idea why

like

Sugar/sweetener? Before. Creamer/milk? After

like

Always before.

like

After... I like to see the cream swirl in the coffee - it’s comforting and I need to make sure my coffee is the proper color for taste 😉

uplifting

Typically after

Sugar before, cream/milk after.

I am an m&a junior at a firm that is generally considered a lifestyle firm (pay below market but target hours are lower unless pushing for partner). Over the pandemic period, we have had so many senior associates and paralegals leave that there is no one to ask questions to and I’m doing paralegal work (we are all in survival mode). I’m not convinced the partners in my team (who are aware of the problem but cannot convince management) can recruit people to replace given we pay below market.

During my interview process I clearly stated my salary expectations of 95k-105k. They came back with an offer at 80k. Is it even possible for us to come closer to a better agreement with them being so low? All other aspects of the job are in line with what I'm looking for, so I really want to make this work.

Hello folks, I’m after some advice please. I recently bought a couple of indoor plants and added to the cart what I think is a very expensive bottle of natural mist to use on the leaves. All organic, glass bottle etc. supposed to use it 2-3 times per week but 2 weeks in I’m down to half a bottle and it was £15 (approx $20). I understand that I need to nurture the plants but it strikes me as a rather expensive mist. Is there anything you’d recommend I can use instead? Thanks.

I am leaving retail pharmacy after 15 years. I am opening a 403b pharmacy for a FQHC. I don't believe that retail pharmacy will be able to sustain itself with patient costs skyrocketing. I think people will become enraged or indifferent enough to allow the federal government to take over healthcare. How many times do we see people getting free prescriptions via government coverage that drive better cars than we do?

If you go for interview and you sort of know that the person interviewing you might be curious about something on your negative on your resume like why is there a gap or why were you in XX role for so long?

Do you address it pre-emptively? Or does that show insecurity and you leave the elephant in the room and wait till they ask you?

I guess this is more in the case of networking than interview like do you make your own story?

Considering leaving to take a partner position at a small firm. Is it worth it? Would only be 2 partners with a staff of 10. Comp would be 250k on the low end and probably top out around 350k. Would take 3-4 years to get to this level of comp as would be buying 10% per year up to 40% of the firm. Am I stupid for not taking this? Currently manager making 125k. Comp first year as junior partner would be 120k with 10% ownership.

I recently accepted a position with a new org. One of the benefits I asked about with offer was the parental leave policy and was told (in writing by HR) 16 weeks paid after 1 year, which is as good as you can hope for in US. Now I’ve been sent the employee handbook to review/sign and it says only 12 weeks, which is less than the org I’m leaving. What might my recourses be to negotiate 16 weeks when the time comes? Also, should I be viewing this is a red flag?
