Question for Production Underwriters.
I was an agent way back 10 years ago and got out because I was burnt out.
Currently I'm a commercial renewal and new business UW but I don't have to "chase" new business. I will be looking for other job opportunities in August and I get a lot of interest from recruiters who suggest Production UW jobs.
What does your day look like? Do you have to hassle and stress? Do you have to travel a lot?
I don't know if I really want to go back to that environment.

I’ve been supply chain consulting for 6 years. Is there a logical pivot in to a tech or non tech role at a FAANG that is worth the career shift?

I have extensive SQL background but not much else that is technically related other than solution architecture.

Recently got a contract job at Facebook NY. Got a 30% salary bump, via an offer for Senior Consultant S&O from Deloitte. Currently underpaid at EY Advisory. I'm MBA and this year is my promotion year at EY for Manager. What to do? Get demoted and move to D? Or counter at EY? Even if EY matches my salary, and promote me to Manager, I will be an EY Manager with a Deloitte SC salary, and probably won't be able to go to D in the future. What do you think? I have built up a good relationship with my Partner and SMs at EY though.
