I recently interviewed for a role at Goldman Sachs and completed all the levels. After the final interview HR sent me a link to fill out the Compensation Questionnaire and requested for related documents. Next day, another HR called me for some clarification and told me that they are going to request for some approvals. Does this mean I can expect an offer letter? If yes, how long will that process take?

It should be no less than 10 years imo. It’s more than just being a good creative, it’s about leadership and management and navigating politics and learning process and building client relationships. Every “young” CD I’ve ever had was severely lacking in one or more of those departments and everyone under them suffered because of it.
Took me 12 years. At 10 I may have thought I was ready, but realistically I wouldn't have been quite ready.
You need to get enough experience managing projects and small pieces of business before you're truly ready for everything that comes with owning accounts day in and day out.

Took me 12.
It took me 14. But I took a circuitous route. Some bad job moves early on. But keep grinding and it’ll happen in due time
Learning from that too. Could’ve been senior 5 years ago, yet I decided to do lateral moves between -somewhat-better shops. I’ll be getting there to CD someday. A pair of metals might get me a fast-pass though (sadly).
15 here
16 years. I don’t think time necessarily improves the ‘creative’ part (though you do pick up useful tricks along the way) but the ‘director’ part definitely benefits from varied experience of projects, and more importantly listening to and learning from others. If it motivates or helps you, the likelihood is that you’ll be able to pass it on when you’re in their position.
Took me like 14 years. Said no to it for 5 years. Try and stay in that senior creative sweet spot as long as possible, is my advice.
