Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

Depends. What have you done to earn it? If you’re just doing your job then it could be a while. If you’ve grown and proven your value (won new business, awards, the hearts of your coworkers, managers and clients etc) then it should be rewarded.
Ogilvy 1: maybe with a nice picket fence and a shrubbery?
Depends. I usually jump agencies to get what I want because it’s usually at least 20% more and it’s hard for a job you’re at to do that every year. But with that being said I really like my current agency and I got a 8% ish raise so it was enough for me to stay.
Because of covid I waited 3yrs that was too long, and they only gave me 5% because of budget reasons so I quit. I’m freelance now and make twice my old salary.
Honestly it’s not terrible I pay like $266/mo but I’m single, healthy, and w/o dependents. At the end of the day I’m charging 1.2-1.4K day so the healthcare is not a huge financial concern no.
You should be receiving a 3-5% bump annually if you’re doing your job but not being promoted, simply to keep up with inflation and COL.

It’s the policy: merit-based raises only.
I don’t make the rules; I just labor under them in a constant state of undercompensation.
Hard 3 year rule. If you haven’t been given a raise, and no negative reviews in that time your company believes you’re complacent and not willing jump ship.
The longest I have waited is two years. But also I have worked my ass off to make it really hard for them not give me a promotion.
My growth goal is a promotion every two years. I start looking for new opportunities at 2.5 years. My last promotion was less than a year ago, but it was very disappointing (only +5%) so I'm already looking at other places.
I waited 5 years…
No one waNts to say it but salary increases are driven by the economic health of the agency you are at. The public’s report to the market first and foremost. The boutiques have more flexibility. If you have no clue of the health of your shop that isn’t a good indicator. Be an adult and manage your career. Don’t leave it up to someone else. 😍
Follow up question. How much $ % increase is expected when you’re promoted at the same agency?

😬 Def leaving my place then. They started me at 50k at consumer shop after getting out of pharma making 65k.

Something longer than five years, apparently.
I worked at Ogilvy for 4 years, ran big accounts, helped win lots of new business, won over 100 awards including gold lions, and never got a raise.
A lot of bureaucracy, politics and excuses.
I waited 4 years and had to beg
