Question on OE

Hi All!

New to this. So a bit of a dilemma. Been doing a lot of research and I sent a email to TWN to freeze my data. How do I freeze Lexis Nexis now? As when I looked it up there is no option to freeze just my employment history.

Second question is. I work at J1 now and I recently accepted J2 and I ran my TWN report and I see they ran a employment history report. So my question now is am I screwed since I didn’t freeze my TWN before they did this? I want to work both jobs but

They can run a report and if they don't ask any questions, don't offer any information. The 1st rule in OE is to not talk about it!

You’re fine. Since you are adding J2, they expect that you worked at J1. I would still freeze it since they may check again after you start working J2. This only becomes a problem if you were adding J3+ because they would have seen more than 1 full time job in your report.

Don’t panic. I have five jobs and no one has questioned why it is frozen or need any other confirmation.

Comforting others:
When someone tells me bad news regarding their health, I say everything I am supposed to say (I’m sorry to hear that, I’m here for you, etc) EXCEPT “everything is going to be ok”. Because I can’t guarantee that and I really don’t know if everything is going to be ok. I was taken aback recently when a friend told me I am calloused and cold-hearted for not being able to say those words. Is she right? Should I start saying this for the purposes of providing comfort only??

Turnover is extremely high, as I’m the second longest tenured associate in the office. Looking for some guidance on whether this is the norm or not. Compensation is low 80’s.

The first rule of overemployment is dont talk about overemployment to anyone outside your house. :). Second: always protect the main job. I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?
