Quick Question for Software Developers at PwC, EY, Mckinsey.

Hows your experience so far working as a developer in a consulting company? Hows your WLB? Compensation? Lets not compare compensation with Product and FAANGs coz I’m trying to compare consulting companies. I am curious about others experience since I am planning to jump.

My take: I personally love working at a D and want to stay in consulting, short term projects, good tech stack so far, learning curve. WLB is not so bad. 85k

Wrapping my head around the equity piece of an offer. Is the equity you are granted in dollars converted to shares right away? So if the stock goes up or down, the totally dollar amount in equity granted when you sign might not be what you actually get over the first four years?

One of the reasons I want to transition from industry to consulting (tier 1) is that I get frustrated when I have to collaborate with mediocre people. My assumption is that Tier 1 consulting firms hire really sharp people and if I can get in, I’ll be collaborating with folks on top of their game (not expecting much from clients). I’m aware there are personal aspects I need to work on like my mindset, patience etc etc, but I just get so frustrated with blatant stupidity.

How do you get someone to realize that they talk way too much and have them to dial it back so they don't dominate every conversation? I'm not sure how direct I can be without hurting...
