​We chatted for five minutes about the city. He didn't buy a thing, but he left smiling. In retail, sometimes the best service is just being human.

Evening! Dog owners who live in condo rentals downtown.. did you tell your landlord you had a dog? I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.
