Received 2 jobs offer: one with my current big 4, but in South Europe. The other in BENELUX (better salaries and career progression), but on another big 4.

I'm scared of accepting the BENELUX and they end up withdrawn it (Visa will be much longer to process it ~ 3 months).

Have people gotten their bonus’ prorated in a year they were on parental leave? Any hunches to tell if it was more less than a straight prorate?

Was at dinner with my mom yesterday and we got into an argument about me not wanting to tell her how much my salary is. I had no problem telling my parents right out of college but just feel kind of weird about it as I progress in my career. She said I am getting a big head and I replied that the exact reason I don’t want to tell her how much I make is because I don’t want to brag/ have a big head. Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Left McKinsey for a Fintech corporate last year. Really disappointed to see bonuses given out (cash is equivalent to half month salary, equity vested over 5 yes also not great) after getting the 5/5 rating and business doing well overall. Doubting my decision to come to industry. Is this the norm? Feels really low as historically variable has been a big enough component for me to pay down loans/invest.

I feel like I've been lowballed, can someone explain the below breakdown please?

Base salary: 60k
Quarterly quota (per quarter): 107k
Quarterly bonus (per annum): 23k
130% Annual bonus = 11.5k
"23% commission on quota minus base": 37k (don't understand this)
"Proposed 23% commission on 150% quota minus base": 86.5k
Sales commission threshold per month: 22k
OTE: 122k
Cost/Sales: 28%

That base salary is lower than my previous base by a significant amount by 32.7%

Hi everyone, I got hired on as entry level sales operations role back in January. It quickly turned into sales, and eventually all the sales for the small company once the head of sales left. I am happy to take on the additional role for my company, and they are going to let me. But they feel that without multiple people in a sales department the title head of sales might not be the best title. I have input in what my updated position title and salary would be. What should I ask for?

Hello, I am in USI GES tax at DUSI. I love my job but not my team and mgmt anymore. I'm a performer and I'm dumped with work of 2 ppl while others are searching for work. I am burned out.

I resigned and accepted a job with EY GDS with a huge pay bump that DUSI can't match but I also gave up my potential promotion for 2023.

I've been feeling bad about putting my papers down and letting go off my promotion but I am really tired. I took up this job as an escape.

Tax senior with CPA at small firm. Best way to get to Big 4 audit? (LA or OC) Went to non-target so little to no alumni at B4. I don’t mind the switch to a lower title since audit was always my preference and was never a fan of tax (stayed local for family).

Do you think earning potential decreases by quite a bit if you exit to industry as a senior?

What would you pick between two companies where one offer is significantly higher comp wise than the other, but the one with a lower offer feels like it would be a better fit, and better growth trajectory? Both offers are still significantly higher than current salary.

Is it bad to be over-utilized? I just did the math and I could charge zero hours this week and take a 3 week vacation after and still be 100% utilized? Is that abnormal?
