Hello! Question for anyone that works at Google if I have hit my 3 applications per 90 days can I still apply to an additional role through a referral link? Or will I have to wait until the 90 days is up? Actually asking for a friend that doesn’t have this app 😊 thanks in advance for any insight.

Busy season continues

Just signed the outside employment form in KPMG onboarding system. I actually wanted to start dabbling in creative writing as a potentially monetizable hobby, but I'm guessing this may pose issues.
Definitely interested in the "exception from this policy may be requested if provision of non-professional services doesn't interfere with one's duties of causes conflict of interest" clause, though. Has anyone been able to get one of those before?

Start applying for internships now with the big firms, internships are the best way into a job offer. Apply to as many as you can for best chances. CPA is the way to go, definitely don't need a CIA. If you specifically go internal audit (vs external), might be an extra boost on the resume.
Look to your school for any career center resources (resume editing, mock interviews) and if you have accounting organizations on campus get involved asap (accounting club, Beta Alpha Psi, NABA) as they can really help with connecting with firms that recruit from your school, internship application deadlines, etc.
Another random tidbit - please please pleaseee apply for the 5th year scholarship through your school. It's for people pursuing their cpa in Texas. My school didn't have enough people applying for it because it wasn't well known, so basically if you applied for it, you got it. The steps to apply are all things you'll have to do anyways for the cpa exam application.
Apply for internships while still in school (make sure to attend meet the firm events on campus), get those 150ncredits, thats really it to get into audit at an accounting firm. You dont need the CPA unless you plan on staying in public and want to climb, but definitely start studying for it as soon as you graduate. Most firms tend to only hire people who are eligible to sit for the exam and express intention to take it
Get your CPA especially if the company pays for it. It’s so valuable. But definitely apply for internships that lead to full time offers.
Start with an internship, that’s the best way to secure an audit role. CPA is all you need
You don’t immediately need the cpa, you just need the hours. But highly recommended getting it as soon as you can

Check your states hour requirements for sitting for the CPA, I believe it is or will be reduced in the near future
