You’ll have imposter syndrome but truth is, none of us tax folks really understand everything. Don’t doubt yourself—some of the best folks we’ve hired have been from smaller firms.

These responses are just silly. Get in there, show them you know what you are doing and you will be accepted almost immediately. Will there be some other theoretical partner/director candidates who worry? Sure. But just do your thing and it will all work out
Depends on the end goal. If you want to make partner, just let yourself get cooked until you get there
I switched firms and more importantly specialties, and it’s night and day. 10x easier and less stressful

😂 I was joking but yea. At least in my region going from national to B4 in terms of house is a massive jump.
Thankfully I’m out of PA though now.

No, you’ll do fine if you are ready to put in the effort.
I think it depends on the team and the workload. I’m sure the first few months will be tough.

Not at all. That is the route I took and had a very long and successful tenure with a B4. Many have done this.
