Yikes! I am so sorry you were laid off so close to the holidays, I was once laid off three weeks before Christmas, and trying to find a new job before the end of the year is no small tasks. I wish you a lots of luck and I hope you find a new amazing job very soon.

- apply for jobs but always contact people at the company where the role is a perfect fit
- stay positive and make money on the side
- rinse and repeat

I got laid off twice in one year. It sucks big time but I have to have the resiliency to push through. Good luck!
Twice in one year! Holy crap, that is bad.
Awful timing for getting laid off and I am so sorry to hear it! While a lot of companies tend to slow down at the end of the year, there are still a lot of open positions out there. Reaching out to your network is always a good early step and looking for what is out there in your area. Good luck and here is to a new beginning!
Not really. They say they are, but they really aren’t.
I have started the interview process in December in the past, but like others note, the holidays are disruptive and expect there to be long delays in the process.
Honestly, getting laid off is pretty common right now. You can expect that when you apply you will be competing with dozens, if not hundreds, of other applicants... many of whom are as qualified or more qualified than you are. Use the slow down from the holidays to relax, work on your resume, work on your interview techniques, and reach out to contacts. Be prepared to be out of work for at least several months.
I was recently out 8 months and I know several people who are coming up on a year.
That's a bummer man....but I feel ya....I was canned about 5 mL months ago and still haven't found anything

Any advice? I'm currently in the same situation.
Was laid off in February and still looking here, myself.
AI auto-rejections, fake job postings, no call backs...
over 600 resumes sent and I've managed to land 3 conversations (not even interviews). Those conversations were all about the same position (from 3 different recruiters) to do a job I did 10 years ago for the salary I had 15 years ago.
It's a tough m,arket out here, but I HAVE seen a lot more friends claiming they have landed a position.
Just keep your head up and apply apply apply.
