I am kinda new to case interview and want to develop skills to solve them. Any books, online sources would be really appreciable. See guys, the firm can move your start date how many ever times it takes to get the transfer straightened out; its not an issue. Once you turn in all requested documents in the portal typically it takes 10 days to file the LCA and about 3-4weeks for the law team to submit your petition. After that you can hear back from USCIS regarding status between 5-15 calendar days. Whether it’s an rfe or not is another question and often times it’s because of the job description and how it ties to your degree. It just means approval is delayed. It almost never is a denial. To give you a rough estimate, from the time you submit all documents to your law team, its 6 weeks for a clean approval and 6 plus 4 ~weeks if its an rfe.( depends on the rfe of course). Just don’t lose sleep over the probability of getting an rfe. Again this is the decision part. The approval notice takes 3-4 days to reach you via fedex. And the onboarding team needs atleast 5 days after that to prepare for your induction. So you can deduce a reasoneable timeline from this.
Great answer, thank you!
Do you work in their legal department? :)
Start date moved twice - they responded to my RFE almost 50 days after they received it! But yes they take approx 6 weeks to file your application to USCIS.
Ya .. Even two months is ambitious… expect 2 months for ur application to be sent to USCIS and if 15 days from there provided no rfe
That’s late :(
It took me 5 months
No RFE, 2 months for response was for USCIS
took me 3 months, 6 weeks for them to review documents and apply for LCA
moved it twice
Their whole process is very thorough and long. Expect minimum 3 months.
