Do you recommend a) I should get a personal AMEX given I have CSP b) if so, which AMEX? Platinum, gold or another one. Thanks!!

Ok this is probably a dumb question, but I can’t seem to find the answer on my own…. I have been in public my whole career so never had a job offer with RSU’s. Offer includes RSU’s that vest over 4 years for an IPO. 2 questions - if the company never goes public are they worth anything? And do I need to pay taxes on the amount that vests every year regardless if they go public or not?

I’ve been offered a position that I’m really excited about. Their initial offer was 10K more than the top of the salary range they gave me for the position when I asked during the interview process and at the top end of the salary requirements I set for myself. My partner thinks I should still negotiate for more even though I’m happy with the offer. Am I an idiot if I don’t negotiate in this case? Realistically, I don’t think I’d get much more than that, but should I negotiate out of principle?

I’ve had several great interviews with a few diff companies. Or rather, I thought they went well but then I get the dreaded “thanks but we made the difficult decision to move forward with other candidates”. I’ve asked for feedback but so far have gotten none.

I know it’s competitive out there, but I also don’t know how I can either position myself better, seek positions that are more aligned with my expertise/experience, or work on improving certain areas.
