McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.

I have joined Ofss 1 week back and on second day itself I was allocated to project and onboarding WIP I received mail stating to report back to office 3 days per week under hybrid work model policy. Is this compulsory my base location is 2600 km from my current location as I am joining the citi project its seems difficult for me to grasp things though I have only 1 yr of prior exp by I think my team is expecting a lot so moving to new city and learning at same time is not possible .

Depends on the company. Most are fairly flexible, but Ohioans are used to this. However, we were also much more used to our area dealing with snow and ice better in past years.
I cannot imagine Chase expecting someone to drive to the Polaris office in snow.
Unfortunately with Chase they still expect you there. Talk to your manager though they may be more flexible.

Before the pandemic, probably not. Now though I think it depends on your company. A lot have become much more flexible in the past few years
Be careful on the upper deck of those parking garages - they’re super slippery when it’s icy!
Talk to your manager- last week it rained and almost nobody was in the office 🤷♀️
The best bet is to ask you manager. I am required to be in the office regardless of the weather. But my manager is okay with me not working a full day in the office.
Moved from Atlanta to Toledo and now near Polaris Mall. Used to snow and ice but thank God I'm remote.
I also moved here from GA. I have to admit I really miss GA and the sunshin.
I also moved to Ohio from Georgia. But I’ve also lived in other states, north and south. We require everyone to come to work unless where they live is designated area where a level of winter weather emergency has been declared. At a certain level, we can’t make them come in because conditions are too dangerous. Had a few days last year. None this year so far.
