Recently quit my job and started dabbling in the freelance world doing paid social but I have no idea what to charge (used to salary!). What’s a typical monthly retainer for paid social gigs?

I am in Canada, Band 8 in IBM consulting and received an offer for Senior Manager in Deloitte Advisory at 145K base plus 10k signon. How do you rate this offer?

I’ve been approached outside the firm for a number of roles and take interviews for the practice. Today a start up SaaS company called and when i gave my base salary expectation (which i thought would be wildly out of range) it was not even a flinch and “well within range” no wonder there’s a staffing shortage at pwc, these guys are throwing money at us, and I’m in marketing!!!!!

Switching team internally competing with external candidates. was asking a promotion for next grade midpoint but was ok to accept >=50% hike which i told hiring manager before the process start itself which he said will consider if I'm the one selected.

Attended 5 rounds-- 1 coding, 2 technical, 1 managerial, 1 hr. Now after 2 months telling me I'm the selected one, but offering me just 20% hike and same grade

I'm a recent grad who accepted an entry-level full-time job offer with Capital One. I knew that MBB and other consulting firms rarely ever negotiate salary with new grads, so I didn't with Capital One as well. Was that a mistake? What were the likelihoods that they would have raised my salary? I had no other competing offers at the time

General question, and I suspect the answer is no. Are there any employment or exec comp-related jobs in the entertainment industry? Or, are there any law firms purely focused on entertainment that have a comp/employment/benefits group? If a Recruiter declines you or doesn’t choose to reach out, it is because the hiring team declined you, or you don’t have the experience. You will most likely not be considered for future roles because of this. When I see people giving advice to reach outside the Recruiter, it’s bad advice. Very rare is this a good idea.
