Recently started as an Assistant Manger for a coffee shop that doesn't have a present Store Manager (manager manages 3 different stores & stays at core store). Currently on 31K yearly for 45 hours and HATE it, as my other job I was on 40 hours 30K - I tried to ask for 40 hours but they want to give me 27K which is not up for discussion at all. They didn't even have an assistant manager for a whole year in this place, which to me seems like they saved a ton of money.

That’s a lot of responsibilities for the salary. Not sure what’s good/bad for your location, but that seems crazy. I’d go elsewhere just to make similar money as a regular team member, without the added stress.

That really sounds like they're taking advantage of you. If things aren't up for discussion, they're pretty much telling you it's time to move on. Put out feelers and see what else is available. You might be able to find a much better situation for yourself.

I am a strong believer in owning your situation. If it's not working for you, it's time to find something that does. I know, it's easier said than done. I know! Leverage the experience you have gained and go out for a Manager position where the pay better aligns with your expectations.

Continuing - I also have to act as a regular team member as they don't add on an extra person for shift so I can take care of manager duties, I have to balance all of this together which does not seem fair. Especially living in London and companies still want to be severely cheap with the cost of living and not matching salaries anymore. Very frustrated

Starting a new position in a few weeks and have an opportunity to speak with my future boss before starting. Is there anything I should ask before starting that wouldn’t already have been covered in the interview? I was thinking about asking if I should read up on anything before starting, but I also don’t want to impose obligations on myself if I don’t have to. Fwiw going from firm to in-house. TIA!

Hi everybody.
Right now I’m working as a junior product engineer in Amsterdam. From januari on I’ll be a medior product engineer. And now I’m in the middle of negotiating about my salary increase. The salary that I’m being offered feels low (41.5k).
Is there an other product engineer that could tell me if my gut feeling is right or not? Thanks in advance!

I received an offer for a role that is a lot more money than I thought but I still want to negotiate and see how much more money I can get. What can I say if the salary is already above average for the role in the market and city I live in?

I was approached on LinkedIn for an early career recruiting role in DFW, TX. I don't have direct experience, but I have the university experience/connections from working in career services. This is the first time I've considered work outside of higher education. I said my salary expectations are minimum $90k and that didn't seem to be an issue. Am I asking too little, too much? How can I know I'm getting the best salary and not just settling at the low end of the range?

Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

Hi All! Looking for some advice. I am a manager a country club but I do everything. I’m in charge of outside events and member events, in charge of the front of house staff, scheduling, ordering and membership sales for the club. I feel I am very underpaid at $45k. I do get commission but it’s very low ($10k give or take for the year). I work 6/7 days a week sometimes 10+ hrs/day. I’ve been researching salaries to be able to negotiate higher pay. I want to ask for $60k-is this reasonable?

Anybody know salary range for VP Operations for GS in SLC?

Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

I’ve been approached my by company that one of our large clients (who im currently project managing for) is looking for a consultant of sorts, and if they hire us, I’d be the first person asked to take on this consultant role. This isn’t something my company typically offers and would greatly change the scope of my role. Has anyone ever taken on a role like this? If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?

Got an offer for Sr. Financial Analyst for 85k & 10% annual bonus. What's a good counteroffer? I told the recruiter 95k-110k when I first interviewed. This position is 100% remote, headquartered in VA. I live in NYC. Have roughly 2 YOE.

Thanks.

There’s no guarantee that I will be offered a job at company B but my gut is telling me that company B would be a better fit for me. Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

Does JP Morgan email the initial offer after final interview or does the recruiter call?
