I’m so sorry! I am in your boat and a friend with two kids just had an oops pregnancy and she was complaining about not being able to drink on a ski trip to me. I’ve had three miscarriages and have gone through two rounds of IVF. It stings pretty bad but I just remind myself it’s not my life, not my situation. It still doesn’t make it easier. I’m sorry you’re going through this! It’s so unfair women who want to be moms so bad have to go through so much, when it seemingly just falls in others laps with no trying at all.
Thank you for sharing I feel so seen when I’ve been feeling so alone.
This may sound really stupid but I rewatch Charlotte’s storyline from Sex and the City (the original show) and it makes me feel better. Not entirely realistic but they get a lot of the emotions right.
Sending love. This journey is so hard, both physically and emotionally.
Almost everyone in my life got pregnant on try #1 or 2, no fertility issues, etc etc. One of the worst is a colleague who regaled me with a tale of getting pregnant even though she had an IUD in and another colleague who had a honeymoon baby.
People just don’t realize how insensitive it is to talk about how easily they got pregnant…
Rest assured, you are not alone in this group. And your feelings are valid. We are all in this sucky club together.
How long have you been trying? So many women who are actively trying have doctors missing an underlying condition, like PCOS. Recently changed GYN as we had moved and I needed my annual done and about getting IUI treatments... they insisted even though I was previously diagnosed (twice by the way) that I get tested for underlying conditions including PCOS since my cycles are pretty regular (you can have regular cycles and still have PCOS). I told them it was honestly a waste of time to get re-diagnosed.
Also while I'm actively trying for years my younger sister has had 5 kids and people are getting pregnant around me pretty regularly... every few weeks at church we have a new baby announcement. So I totally feel your pain.
