I have been a PM at my company for 2 years now, with a years prior experience as associate PM. I got promoted before my certification, but was told if I did not get a PMP or ACP I would get my promotion taken away.

My yearly income (post standard deduction+ 1.5 lacs 80c investment) is 650,000. (April 21- march 22).

I will also receive 2,00,000 joining bonus this month end.

Total income: 6.5 lacs + 2 lacs

Question:
1. Will 10% taxes(as per old regime slab) be deducted on 6.5 lacs and flat 30% be deducted on joining bonus?
Or
Only 10% Tax will be deducted on 8.5 lacs(6.5 + 2 lacs jb)?

2. Need suggestion to save tax on the above numbers.
